Professional Silicone Rubber for Moldmaking
R7 silicone rubber is made by mixing two components: a white base and a transparent catalyst in a 100:5 ratio (e.g., 100g base + 5g catalyst). Mix in a clean, dry, grease-free container.
IMPORTANT: Do not exceed the recommended mixing ratio to maintain the product's final properties. You may reduce the catalyst to 3–4% to slow down the curing time if needed.
Pour the mixed silicone into the mold from a height of about 30 cm and always from the same point to reduce air bubble formation.
• Working Time (WT): Approx. 30 minutes
• Full Cure: ~6 hours at 23°C
(Cure time shortens at higher temperatures and lengthens at lower ones.)
Once cured, the model can be easily demolded without damage, preserving even the finest details.
Usage Tips for R7 Silicone Rubber
R7 is ideal for creating soft, highly detailed molds from virtually any original material. Its excellent flexibility allows the mold to release cleanly and effortlessly.
Not recommended for rigid molds. For firmer results, consider alternatives such as R PRO 20, R20, or R PRO 30.
